RBA CBDC Pilot Conference
Finally, on Friday, various groups came to meet at the RBA to showcase experiments in the use of an electronic AUD as part of the CBDC pilot projects. Whilst a polarising topic, it’s important to acknowledge the need to understand all sides of the equation and that’s what the project has set out to do. You can see more from the agenda here - https://dfcrc.com.au/cbdc-pilot-conference-agenda/
And some insights from that here with those who watched like Niko from Hedera
There's also this highlight from team NotCentralised who also participated https://twitter.com/notcentralised/status/1662596621509754881

In this episode of Bankless, hosts Ryan Sean Adams and David Hoffman engage in a thought-provoking conversation with Rohan Grey, an expert in law and digital currency. One of the key takeaways from this episode is the recognition of the multifaceted nature of digital cash and the need for a comprehensive approach to its development and adoption. Rohan arguments highlight the importance of considering not only the technological aspects but also the legal, political, and social dimensions of digital currency. The conversation encourages listeners to think critically about the challenges and opportunities presented by digital cash and emphasizes the significance of privacy, property rights, and the role of the state in shaping its future. Ultimately, it underscores the need for collaboration, consensus-building, and careful consideration of the broader implications when exploring innovative financial solutions.
